Suspended Ceilings

SWC are specialists in suspended ceilings, also known as a dropped ceiling or false ceiling. It is a secondary ceiling made of a metal framework and a series of ceiling tiles that are hung from the structural ceiling above it.

Suspended ceilings are popular in offices and commercial premises as they provide a clean and professional appearance while using the space created between the structures to conceal wiring, ventilation and heating pipes.

The false ceiling allows for the installation of a range of workplace necessities including light fittings, CCTV, speakers, and fire safety systems which can be attached to or fitted into the ceiling tiles.  Repairs and replacements are simple to carry out as the ceiling tiles are slotted into the metal grid.

The ceiling tiles are available in a variety of designs, materials and colours to match the design and features of your space, including metal, vinyl, mineral fibre and cork, and timber.

An additional advantage of a dropped ceiling is that by reducing the room height there is less space to heat thereby reducing heating bills.
